Commission terms

• 'The buyer' refers to persons paying for the artworks created by Ngai Ning Yu

• 'The artist' refers to Ngai Ning Yu 

• The buyer's commission order will be processed as soon as the deposit amount is paid in GBP. 

• A certificate of authenticity will be delivered alongside the artwork. 

• All artworks sold are one-of-a-kind original pieces, created solely by Ngai Ning Yu as per her source material, and/or source material as provided by the buyer for artwork commissions. 

• Ngai Ning Yu retains all intellectual copyright and reproduction rights. Purchased artwork may not be reproduced in any form, by any process or medium without obtaining prior written permission from the artist. 

• All sales are final with no refunds or exchanges, including the deposit fee. 

• Purchased artworks may not be resold without crediting the original artist as the sole creator of the work.

• The buyer acknowledges that there may be a discrepancy between the physical artwork and the images of the artwork, due to variations in computer display, colouring, and tone. 

• Any reference material submitted should be from the buyer's ownership and free from copyright restrictions. The artist assumes no responsibility for copyright infringement resulting from photographs submitted by the buyer.

• The artist reserves the right to decline commission requests prior to payment of the deposit.

• The artist can create several rough sketches of initial ideas based on the details of the commission request and the reference photographs provided. After discussing these sketches with the buyer and deciding the direction of the final painting, a deposit invoice will be sent to the buyer, payable within 7 days of issue. This deposit will be 50% of the commission fee.  The remaining 50% will be invoiced at a later date, prior to the completion of the commissioned artwork, along with additional shipping and packing-related fees. 

• After the deposit invoice is paid in full, the artist will commence the commission request.

• The artist must complete the commission request after the deposit is paid. In case of unforeseen circumstances that prevent the artist from completing the commission, any payments made by the buyer will be refunded in full.

• The buyer acknowledges that the final shipping and packing fee will be dependent on the chosen shipping company and the price calculated at the time of shipping, which may differ from any original estimation. 

• After the full commission payment, including shipping and packing fees, has been made, the artwork will be sent to the buyer's provided address.

• Accounting for the size, detail, and shipping requirements, please allow a standard two to three months for the commissioned artwork to be delivered to the buyer for international orders, and up to two months for domestic orders within the United Kingdom.

• The buyer will choose the final shipping method. The artist assumes no responsibility for damage or losses if the buyer does not insure the artwork during shipping.
